Tariq is scientist, mentor, advisor, and subject matter expert in the field of therapeutic manufacturing, synthetic biology, gene editing, microorganism engineering, and cell/gene therapies. Tariq has contributed as a pharma and biotech leader, professional consultant, and scientific advisor which has led to the development of multiple drugs, funding of multi-million dollar investments in early-stage companies, and advising on company strategy. He is an experienced entrepreneur with a clear understanding of the business and scientific requirements to secure seed and series funding for biotech startups.

 

Tariq earned his BS in Biological Sciences and PhD in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Riverside. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, a Staff Scientist at Stanford University, and has been a Senior Scientist at biotech startups in Silicon Valley and at Forbes 500 pharmaceutical giants. His breadth of experience at the bench and in the boardroom make him an ideal expert to advise your next project.
